THE ARBORETUM - CHRIST CATHEDRAL

ORANGE COUNTY, CA

The Arboretum at Christ Cathedral, built in 1961, is an architectural landmark designed by world-renowned architect Richard Neutra as a worship space for the Rev. Robert Schuller's Hour of Power Ministries. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange purchased the campus in 2012, and chose Cannon Building to renovate and restore the Arboretum. Work included a voluntary seismic upgrade, installation of under-floor air conditioning, dual glazed windows, new LED lighting, new finishes and fixtures as well as reconfiguration of the worship space.
