St Norbert Catholic Church

St. Norbert Catholic Church

Orange, California

St. Norbert Catholic Church was established in April 1963 by James Francis Cardinal McIntyre for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and in 1966 the first Mass was celebrated in the church building. In 2007, Cannon Building was contracted to build a new Parish Hall on the church campus in Orange. Cannon Building implemented the Bissell Architects’ two story design-forward structure with parking lot and drive access that included: a stage, commercial kitchen, and daycare facility, and multiple offices and meeting rooms. Site safety was of particular importance as the parish school was in full operation during construction. Architectural elements include smooth plaster exterior walls, mission tile floors and exposed wood ceilings.

The St. Norbert Parish Hall project included:

  • An Auditorium
  • A Commercial Kitchen
  • Covered Patios Adjoining Hall
  • A Daycare Center
  • Multifunction Classrooms
  • Parish Offices
